What is the Enns Cycle Path?

The Enns Cycle Path – also known as the long-distance cycle path R7 – is one of the most beautiful river cycle paths in the Alps. Over approximately 250 kilometers, it leads from Flachauwinkl in Salzburg to Enns in Upper Austria – through three federal states, past lakes, villages, and natural beauties.

  • 263 km from Flachauwinkl to Enns in Upper Austria

  • Crosses 3 federal states: Salzburg, Styria, Upper Austria

  • Ideal for 4–6 stages or day trips from Schladming

  • By the river, varied, well signposted

Over 60 kilometers of this cycle path run directly through the Schladming-Dachstein region. Ideal for anyone spending their holiday with us and wanting to discover the Enns Cycle Path in stages – all without packing and unpacking.

From Mandling to Pichl to Aigen, you cycle always along the Enns – idyllic through meadows, floodplains, small towns, and past popular bathing lakes. Whether as a sporty day tour or a relaxed outing with the family: The stages from Schladming are mostly flat, paved, and also easily manageable with children.

Tip: With the included Schladming-Dachstein Summer Card, you can use the bus or train for free – ideal for flexibly combining individual sections or comfortably returning.
